Three stages, one obsession with quality

From your first file in our prepress to the finished book leaving Trento, every project moves through three stages under one roof. Real people, real expertise, real conversations, at every stage and every lever you’ll read below.

01
Prepress

Total control before printing starts, where every book takes shape

Expert consultancy and repro work, from image to file

We analyse your images to maximise their visual potential together with a comprehensive review of your preview files. Where needed, we provide full repro work.

A dedicated Project Manager supports you throughout in Italian, English, German, Dutch, and French.

1
Professional file analysis and advanced colour management

Each PDF undergoes a rapid automatic preflight check, followed by a detailed verification by an experienced prepress specialist.

2
Print result simulation, including Epsons for duotones

We simulate final print results in advance through our Epson proofing system, also for duotones, combined with on-press test prints, ensuring predictable print results.

3
Paper proofs on production stock and final approval

Proofs produced on the actual production paper provide a reliable preview of the final result, especially for challenging materials such as ivory papers.

02
Printing

Advanced printing capabilities

1
10-colour inline printing, beyond standard offset

Beyond conventional CMYK printing, our 10-colour inline configuration allows the combination of more special inks inline. Alternatively we print both sides of the sheet in a single pass with perfecting.

2
Duotone and tritone for museum-grade black and white

One of the most demanding techniques in printing, requiring precise control of separations, ink curves, and contrast.

3
LED UV large-format printing, without compromise

Instant ink drying ensures sharper detail, higher colour saturation, and excellent surface resistance, ideal for uncoated papers.

4
Fluorescent, metallic, and opaque white inks

Creativity beyond traditional CMYK printing enables distinctive graphic solutions.

Control, experience and execution
5
Controlled colour, from first sheet to last

Densitometric and spectrophotometric monitoring across the entire print run, dedicated ICC profiles for each substrate, and certified colour proofs as the binding reference for production.

6
Press check: an experience as well as a process

We invite our clients to attend the start of printing and approve the first sheets directly on press, allowing for immediate feedback and confident approval before the full run begins.

7
Fast makeready, less time on press

Advanced technologies and real-time adjustments translate into shorter visits and less time on site, while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Binding

Where the book becomes an object

0
Dedicated consultancy, from concept to binding choice

Your Project Manager supports you in selecting the most appropriate binding, based on content, format, and intended use.

Before production begins, we define how your book should look, feel, and perform over time — ensuring that every technical choice supports the final object.

1
Feasibility testing for complex and bespoke solutions

Unconventional applications or new material combinations are tested on real samples before committing to production.

From experimental R&D to risk-driven validation, this step ensures both creative freedom and production reliability.

2
Blank samples and physical prototypes

Before production, we create blank samples that simulate format, binding, thickness, and opening behaviour of the final book.

Being able to handle the object in advance removes uncertainty and allows for confident decisions.

3
Quality control at every stage of production

We ensure consistency throughout the process. Critical phases such as gathering and sewing are continuously monitored with cameras, while section marks allow on-the-floor verification that the sequence of pages is correct.

4
Industrial production, with an artisanal approach

We combine the efficiency of industrial production with the attention to detail of craftsmanship, ensuring that every book meets the highest standards.

5
Limited and collector’s editions

We support artists, publishers, galleries, and institutions in the development of special editions, defining all the elements that make each copy a unique object.

Numbering, signatures, slipcases, and certificates are integrated into the production process to create books designed for collecting.

Collaborative Printing Process

A high-quality book is the result of close collaboration

We bring together the strengths of our teams to find the best solutions throughout the entire printing phase. One dedicated sales consultant, one dedicated project manager, and 12 quality checkpoints from file to delivery. Together, we shape every category of book.
